In partnership with Jazz at Lincoln Center, Prep’s Fine and Performing Arts Department and the Ebony Club hosted four jazz musicians from South Africa for an all-school assembly this week. The assembly included both a performance and Q&A…not to mention a guest appearance by Prep’s own Chase Bradshaw, ’21 on guitar!
Discovering a distinctly American style of music as interpreted by artists immersed in another culture presented a unique opportunity for global learning, and that opportunity was enhanced by a Q&A session at the end of the assembly.
