The second-seeded St. Peter’s Prep volleyball team, No. 11 in the Top 20, started the postseason in dominating fashion by defeating 15th-seeded East Orange, 2-0, in the first round of the North Jersey, Section 2 tournament at home.

Chris Larkin had eight digs, six kills and five service points while Mason Matos had eight assists, five kills and three aces for Prep, which outscored its opponent, 25-15, in the first set.

Timothy Jimenez had 13 assists, eight service points and one ace while Mike Ribiero had seven digs and two service points.

Prep will go on to host 10th-seeded Union in the quarterfinal round on Thursday.
