The second-seeded St. Peter’s Prep volleyball team, No. 11 in the Top 20, continued its success in the postseason by defeating 10th-seeded Union, 2-0, in the quarterfinal round of the North Jersey, Section 2 tournament at home on Wednesday.

Timothy Jimenez had 13 service points, 12 assists and three aces while Chris Larkin had 11 kills, eight digs and three service points for the Marauders, which outscored its opponent, 36-34, in a tough first set.

Mason Matos had 11 assists, six kills and three blocks while Mike Ribiero had 13 digs, one assist and one service point.

Prep will go on to host sixth-seeded Livingston in the semifinal round on Wednesday at 4:30 P.M.
