Prep’s Alumni Office is busy planning a return to “normalcy” in the alumni world of milestone reunion celebrations, the Hall of Fame, and regional reunions. As updates and progress continue to be made, we think it’s just as important to keep our alumni engaged and connected in a “virtual world.” With our recent virtual regional reunion tour successfully wrapped up, our next initiative is aimed to welcome the entire Prep community.

Virtual learning has, of course, been a major part of the student experience at Prep this year, and that has paved the way for us to offer our alumni access to this totally different educational experience. We’ve invited some of our former and current faculty members to host their own virtual “classes,” giving alumni the chance to reconnect with their former teachers, coaches, and mentors in a digital setting. Covering a wide range of topics, including highlights of their Prep careers, retirement life after Prep, teaching high school students throughout the pandemic, and everything in between, our speakers are thrilled to see their former students.

Our first slate of speakers will include:

  • Jack Campion (former Prep English teacher and Prep Dramatics director) Tuesday, April 6.
  • Jack Raslowsky, ’79 (former Prep principal, science teacher, soccer coach, and trustee, now the president of Xavier High School) and John Irvine, ’83, P’11 (Prep Admissions Director, HAP Director, and former English teacher and soccer coach), Tuesday, April 13
  • Tom Comey (current Prep science department chair and former Petrean moderator). Tuesday, April 20.

All three of these events will begin at 5 p.m. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

All are welcome to attend our speaker sessions. Please feel free to register for your session(s) through this form. A Zoom link to the call will be emailed to you as each session’s date approaches.
