Timothy Jimenez had 13 assists, three service points, and three digs as third-seeded Saint Peter’s Prep defeated second-seeded Bayonne, No. 20 in the NJ.com Top 20, 2-0 in the semifinal round of the HCIAL tournament on Thursday in Bayonne.

Joseph Parise had nine service points, nine digs, and five kills, while Aidan Apito had 10 digs, six service points, and five kills for the Marauders, which outscored its opponent, 25-20, in the second set. Matthew Coronel had four service points and three digs, while Andrew Fernandez had three service points, three digs, and one assist.

The Marauders will go on to the HCIAL finals on Saturday at Hudson Catholic. The match will begin at 11:00 A.M.
