The Saint Peter’s Prep cross country team ran a Holmdel school record average of 16:41.20 to finish second in the NJSIAA Non-Public A race on Saturday at Holmdel.
The Marauders, which advanced to the Meet of Champions for the third time in school history, was led by Edwin Klanke, who finished second in a Holmdel season’s-best time of 16:04. Luke Bradley, in his first cross country season, finished fifth with a time of 16:19 while Rodolfo Sanchez ran a Holmdel personal best time of 16:37 to finish 10th. Tyler Parrado (16:53) and Patrick McCabe (17:30) rounded out the top 5 for Prep while Liam Concannon (17:33) and Ethan Blackwelder (17:46) finished in the top 35.
Next up for the Marauders will be the NJSIAA Meet of Champions on Saturday at Holmdel. The boys race kicks off at 11:45 A.M. Come out and support the cross country team in their biggest race of the season.
